My name is Michael McCauley, I started my business in 1971 at the
age of 17 in Medina NY , After 10 years of business I moved to
Sarasota FL. where I had year round business and a lot of it !!
Working at most of the marinas in the area on large yachts and
sail boats gave me the experience I have today. These days I work
in western NY from Buffalo to Rochester building boat tops & covers
Custom Awnings . I will do boat interiors in the winter.

  Thank you,
  Michael McCauley

Since 1971
One of the questions that we are often asked is: "How do I clean my canvas?" There really isn't much to it if you keep to a regular maintenance schedule. Most on-deck canvas is made of SUNBRELLA brand woven acrylic fabric, which has a water repellent, mildew and UV resistant finish. The manufacturer recommends regular cleaning by brushing off loose dirt then washing with a mild solution of a non-detergent soap and warm water (no more than 100 degrees f.). Then rinse copiously with cool water to remove all soap residues. LUX and IVORY are two mild soaps. The reason to avoid detergents is the water and mildew resistant finish. Detergent will compromise the finish and ultimately destroy it.
